Fire Prevention & Protection Awareness for Construction

This course teaches construction workers how to identify and control fire hazards commonly found on active jobsites. Topics include the fire triangle, fire tetrahedron, ignition sources, fuel sources, oxygen hazards, hot work hazards, flammable liquids, adhesive vapors, compressed gases, fire extinguisher classes, extinguisher types, PASS, evacuation decision-making, housekeeping, hot work permits, ventilation, storage, fire watch responsibilities, post-work smoldering, and human factors that contribute to fire incidents. SME review is required before publishing site-specific procedures, fire watch duration requirements, extinguisher placement claims, or client-specific emergency procedures.
